Xyloh (Assembled)

Xyloh is an 8-servo programmable robot head designed for research, teaching, and rapid prototyping in embodied AI and human–robot interaction.

With eyelids, eye movement, head motion, and expressive lips, it provides a compact platform for exploring gaze, timing, and social signalling in interactive systems. It can be programmed in Python or graphical blocks and integrates easily with modern AI tools, including large language models.

Built for flexibility, Xyloh is low-cost, modular, and fully open. All design files are available, making it ideal for student projects, lab experiments, and iterative development. The RP2040-based Ohbrain control board comes preloaded and can be extended for deeper hardware-level work.

Xyloh is designed to be modified, explored, and pushed further—not treated as a closed product. Xyloh has been made using sustainably sourced poplar plywood and printed parts made from pre consumer recycled PETG. Because of this it needs to be treated with care, it is not a toy.
