Scratch3 for Ohbot is a version of Scratch3, hosted on our website, which includes an extension for interacting with Ohbot or Picoh. 

​This allows you to incorporate Ohbot or Picoh in your Scratch3 projects which will run on Chromebooks, Raspberry Pis, Unix, Mac and Windows.

Setup

You will need Google Chrome or the latest version of Microsoft Edge browser.  

1) Install the OhBridge Chrome plugin: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ohbridge/bfjihladgnccpchokgeeicpjcakdmkbe (Click add to chrome)

2) Enable Experimental Web Platform Features.  Type the following into the Chrome address bar:

chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features

Change Experimental Web Platform Features to 'Enabled' and restart Chrome.

3) Plug in Ohbot or Picoh via USB and go to https://scratch.ohbot.co.uk, then click anywhere on the page. A popup should come up, please select the port (Should be 'Arduino Micro' or 'USB Serial Device'). Hit connect and Ohbot or Picoh should reset (if it is not in that position already).

Click the Ohbot icon in the menu to the left on the scratch page to see the new Ohbot blocks in the main Scratch window. ​

Currently there are blocks for:

• Moving and changing motors and their speeds. 
• Speech (including a lip block for lip sync and blocks to change languages and voices.)
• Changing LED colours. 
• Changing eye shape. 
• Mouse x and y positions that give the position 0-10.
• Resetting Ohbot/Picoh. (You can also reset the robot by clicking the ohbot extension icon at the top right of the chrome page and then pressing the reset button.)
